The reserve comprises of 6000 hectares. This Kariega Game Reserve conference venue has a diverse range of fauna and flora including the Big Five. Guests can also keep an eye out for Hippo, Giraffe, Waterbuck, Hyena, Zebra and the well known Fish Eagle.


Kariega Game Reserve offers 2 state of the art conference centres. Both are fully air-conditioned. There is also a breakaway room and a courtesy office available. Teambuilding activities can also be arranged.

Conference Packages


Kariega Game Reserve offers a Full Conference Package. This includes all accommodation, whether single or sharing. It also includes a full English breakfast, morning and afternoon tea/coffee/juice and snacks. Lunch, dinner and the full use of the conference venue and its equipment are also included in the package.


Port Elizabeth Conference Accommodation


Kariega Game Reserve provides conference delegates 4 and 5 star luxury accommodation, plus a private guest lodge, just 80 minutes from Port Elizabeth


Delegates can look forward to staying in luxury accommodation during their conference. This Garden Route conference venue offers two separate luxury lodges, providing spacious accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Both lodges have excellent restaurants where guests can enjoy delicious authentic South African cuisine.


Kariega


Kariega has 19 spacious 1, 2 or 3 bedroom chalets which sleep 51 guests. All bedrooms are en-suite and offer private viewing decks. Delegates can relax with a drink at the architectural award winning pub or enjoy traditional South African cooking. Alternatively, guests can enjoy their meal in the open-air boma (enclosure). Satellite TV is available in the restaurant/bar area. Children of any age are welcome.


Ukhozi Lodge


The Ukhozi lodge has 10 luxury suites which sleep 20 guests. Each suite has modern bathrooms and their own private decks. Delegates can relax in the Africa-style lounges or enjoy a meal in the restaurant or boma (enclosure). Ukhozi Lodge also has an outdoor swimming pool for guests to cool off in. Satellite TV is available in the main building at this conference venue. No children under the age of 10 are allowed.

Port Elizabeth Conference Venue Location


The Kariega Game Reserve conference centre is located just over an hours drive from Port Elizabeth the end of the well-known Garden Route in South Africa.<


This Port Elizabeth Conference venue is nestled between the Kariega River and the Bushmans River. The reserve is 14km (9 miles) from Kenton-on-Sea and 145km (90 miles) from Port Elizabeth. Guests can easily access Kariega Game Reserve by driving from Port Elizabeth. The drive from Port Elizabeth takes approximately 80 minutes. Guests can arrive at Port Elizabeth Airport from OR Tambo International Airport or Cape Town International Airport.


Directions to Kariega Conference Venue


From Port Elizabeth


Travel along the N2 towards Grahamstown. Guests can take one of 2 alternative routes. The first route is the coastal route on the R72 via Alexandria to Kenton-on-Sea. Guests should then proceed 14km (8 miles) on the R343 until reaching Kariega Game Reserve.


The second route guests can proceed on the N2 towards Grahamstown for about 110km (68 miles) and then turn right onto the tarred R343 towards Salem and Kenton-on-Sea. Travel for 32km before you’ll reach Kariega Game Reserve.


Port Elizabeth Conference Leisure


Kariega Game Reserve conference venue provides guests the opportunity to enjoy morning or late afternoon game drives in open vehicles with experienced game rangers. A combination game drive and river cruise is also available in the early morning or late afternoon.


Visitors on conference can safely hike in areas which exclude dangerous animals and enjoy the abundant game and birdlife. Alternatively, take a canoe trip or mountain bike ride. On hot days, cool off in the idyllic river pools surrounded by lush sub-tropical forests. Activities outside the reserve include sunbathing on the nearby beaches of Kenton-on-Sea or horse riding.
